Senior Vice President - Global Tax Product Management

We're seeking a future team member for the role of Senior VP, Automatic Exchange of Information and Tax Risk Management, to join our Asset Servicing team. This role can be located in Manchester or London and is HYBRID.

Responsibilities
- Ownership of DAC6 and CRS policy and governance for BNY, including ensuring lines of businesses, including Custody, adhere to DAC6 and CRS requirements.
- Oversight of the CRS and DAC6 compliance within BNY including the design and effectiveness of operational processes.
- Provision of tax technical support to Asset Servicing and clients focusing primarily on global initiatives aimed at tackling tax evasion (e.g., DAC6 & CRS), including supporting BNY's implementation project(s).
- In respect of anti-tax avoidance law developments impacting Custody, work with internal stakeholders to ensure solutions are implemented to enable BNY and clients meet these requirements.
- Identify and address potential BNY liabilities/risk exposures towards tax authorities and/or clients in respect of custody tax services.
- Advise on required service/process changes and work with Senior Management to advocate implementation of change to reduce identified tax risk.
- Ensure clear and consistent service standards and contractual language with clients regarding custody tax services.
- Involvement in various Bank-wide risk and control initiatives, coordinating on behalf of Tax Product.
- Leadership, oversightand guidanceto assist business units in respondingto tax audits (standardand ad-hoc)and non-standard requestsfor information,mantainingBNY'stax compliance responsibilities towardtax authoritiesandclients.
- Leadershipandover sightintax authoritiesrequestsforexchangeof informationinregardtoCustodyclients.
- RepresentBNYin relevanttax industryworkinggroupmeetingsasnecessaryImplementrelevantmarketingcollateralthoughtleadershipandeducation.Workin amulti-disciplinedteamlocatedacrossvarioustime-zones.

Qualifications
To be successful in this role,we're seekingthe following:
- Preferably qualification as a tax advisor or tax lawyer.
- Extensive tax experience working within asset servicing business with deep knowledge on domesticand foreign withholding taxes,systems global exchangeoftax relatedinformation(FATCA ,CRS,DAC6),tax relief systems,tax treaty analysis ,capital gainsfinancial transaction taxesfund accounting .
- Strong client focus ,with proven experienceofworkingwithlargeassetmanagers.Teamplayerabletoworkacrossmultiplelinesofbusinesswithexcellentcommunicationskills,bothwrittenando ral.Stronganalyticalmanagerialskills.KnowledgeFrenchorGermanlanguagewouldbe beneficialbutnotessential.
