Electrical Design Engineer – OUTSIDE IR35
Description
Location: Manchester
Rate: Circa £40 per hour, 40 hours per week, 12-month contract and likely to extend
Overview:
Long-term contract opportunity for an Electrical Design Engineer to support the water utilities sector in technical design, safety, and quality. This role would be well suited to an electrical design engineer with experience in Low Voltage (LV) systems, wastewater treatment plants, and UMON4 metering. The position offers a variety of projects including storage solution design, control unit development, and flow rerouting.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborating with clients on diverse electrical design projects
- Ensuring quality and technical excellence
- Producing calculations
- Creating industry-standard drawings
- Preparing investigations, reports, and specifications
- Presenting findings
- Collaborating with the broader engineering team
- Contributing to the development of junior engineers and graduates

The Role:
- Electrical Design Engineer - Contracting and Permanent available
- Design, Specification and Reporting
- AutoCAD to produce diagrams, layouts, detailed drawings
- Protection systems; Flow load analysis; fault studies
Candidate Requirements:
- HNC or Engineering Degree
- AutoCAD experience; LV Design experience
- Water Industry experience preferred
