Description

We are seeking an experienced Data Catalogue Consultant to support a global humanitarian organization in developing a structured data catalogue and governance framework. This role will play a key part in identifying data assets, defining catalogue structures, aligning with data protection policies, and supporting data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

Stakeholder Engagement & Discovery
- Collaborate with global teams, program leads, and data stewards to identify key data assets and metadata requirements.

Defining Catalogue Structure
- Develop a comprehensive data catalogue framework, including roles, workflows, and governance structures to support data accessibility and transparency.

Metadata & Data Asset Documentation
- Define metamodels, data dictionaries, and classification structures, ensuring consistency in business terms, attributes, and data relationships.

Tool Selection & Integration
- Evaluate and recommend data cataloging tools to enhance data discovery, access, and standardization across regional and global programs.

Compliance & Data Governance Alignment
- Ensure alignment with data protection regulations (GDPR, ROPA) and ethical data practices; integrating with Supplier Master Data Management and data risk frameworks.

User Training & Adoption
- Develop training materials; conduct workshops; provide ongoing support to ensure that field teams, data analysts, and policymakers can effectively use the data catalogue.

Required Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in developing data catalogues; metadata management;anddata governance frameworks.
- Strong understanding ofdata protection regulations (GDPR,Ropa)andhumanitariandata ethics.
- Experience withdata classification,lineage tracking,andmasterdatamanagement.
- Abilitytoengage withinternationalstakeholders,gatherrequirements,anddocumentmetadataeffectively.
- Hands-on experiencewithdatacatalogtools(Collibra ,Alation ,Informatica ,Azure Purview or similar).
- Excellent communication skillsandexperienceindeliveringtrainingtoglobalteamsandnontechnicalusers.
