Description

Role Overview:
The role will be responsible for supporting the Director of Procurement and the Procurement Team in helping to deliver a large Change programme across the business in the Technology space. The role will be a dedicated resource for the Cloud Adoption Programme as part of this wider change programme during an exciting time of significant transformational change.

Key Responsibilities:
- Work with colleagues in CIO to lead and manage the end-to-end procurement process for individual projects within the CAP Programme.
- Work collegiately with Technology Procurement Managers and wider P&SRM team to procure resourcing and cloud services amongst others, in accordance with best practices of the organisation.
- Develop good relationships with key technology vendors, ensuring alignment with the organisation's cloud adoption strategy.
- Lead on high-value, high-risk, strategic contracts including supplier engagement, tendering, negotiation, commercial discussions and cost modelling.
- Identify and manage risks associated with technology procurement, including data security and compliance, amongst others.
- Implement strategies for cost optimisation in cloud services through negotiation of favourable terms and conditions with vendors which contributes towards current and future savings targets.

Essential Qualifications:
- Previous relevant experience of strategic sourcing and contract management.
- Deep understanding of the Technology category, including resource, software, hardware, and cloud services procurement.
- Proven experience in managing procurement activities for cloud adoption projects, including vendor selection, contract negotiation and implementation support.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to influence at a senior level.
- Proven ability to develop and maintain relationships at all levels.
- Ability to manage benefits realisation, forecasting & financial planning.
- Experience of liaising with In-House Legal to create and/or negotiate supplier contract terms.
