We are conducting a comprehensive data maturity and data architecture assessment as part of a broader strategic evaluation for our client. This initiative aims to analyze their current data capabilities, architecture, and governance model, identifying gaps and opportunities for optimization. Our findings will help define a clear roadmap for enhancing data-driven decision-making, scalability, and operational efficiency.Requirements:At least 8 years of overall engineering experienceAt least 4 years of experience with AWS data services (preferably Redshift, S3, Glue, Lake Formation, Databricks, etc.)Experience performing data architecture and data maturity assessments is a mustDeep understanding of data governance, data management, and data quality concepts.Hands-on experience in data architecture (e.g., building DWH & data lakes)Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively interact with business stakeholders (including C-level) and technical teams.Upper intermediate level of EnglishWill be a plus:Familiarity with SEI methodologiesResponsibilities:Lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and high-performing data architectures for clients across multiple industries.Collaborate with business stakeholders, data analysts, and technical teams to understand and analyze data requirements and translate them into data architecture solutions.Design and create conceptual, logical, and physical data models for various data domainsDefine data standards, data governance policies, and data management processes to ensure data quality, consistency, and security throughout the organization.Evaluate and recommend appropriate data storage, integration, and processing technologies, including data warehouses, data lakes, and cloud-based solutions.Collaborate with data engineering and development teams to implement data integration, and ETL/ELT processes.Define and implement data security and access controls to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with data privacy regulations.Provide guidance and best practices to development teams for database design, optimization, and performance tuning.Stay up to date with emerging data technologies and trends and evaluate their potential impact on the organization's data architecture.Collaborate with infrastructure and operations teams to ensure scalability, availability, and performance of data platforms and environments.Document data architecture artifacts, including data models, data flow diagrams, and system integrations.
