Opportunity Overview:
We have a fantastic opportunity for a contract eFX WPF C# GUI Developer to join its dynamic eFX technology function at a leading financial institution, responsible for a suite of applications and services that form the core of the eFX business line. As a Senior eFX WPF C# GUI Developer, you will be part of the eFX Algo Team, developing UI components that align with the strategic direction of the eFX business. This high-visibility role offers the opportunity to work on Sharp FX, a key platform providing price construction for FX Spot, Swaps, and Outrights.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Higher Education (Degree or equivalent) in computer science, maths, physics, or engineering.
- Deep experience in WPF C# Graphical User Interfaces in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in programming C# Graphical User Interfaces and familiarity with message bus technologies.
- Knowledge of the software delivery process and methodologies.
- General knowledge of the FX trading environment and FX products like FX Spot, Swaps, Outrights.
- Linux, Java; expertise in low latency, high performance GUIs.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Develop business requirements into specific Sharp FX GUI tooling and workflow solutions.
- Prototype solutions rapidly in an agile environment with demands from both Front Office and IT teams.
- Work in a high frequency, low latency environment to devise solutions.
- Participate in all aspects of product delivery including design, technical documentation, unit testing, component build, QA testing, and deployment.
- Provide 3rd line technical support to internal Production Support teams.
- Engage in sprint planning; estimation; provide regular status updates to project managers.
- Occasionally undertake activities outside specific responsibilities but related to the role as an eFX software developer.
