Role Overview
On behalf of our client, we are seeking an experienced Risk Manager to join their dynamic team, working on a high-profile mining project. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in risk management within the mining sector, strong analytical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop, implement, and maintain risk management frameworks and processes tailored to the mining project.
• Identify, assess, and monitor project risks, including operational, financial, environmental, and safety-related risks.
• Conduct qualitative and quantitative risk assessments, including Monte Carlo simulations.
• Provide strategic risk advice to project stakeholders and support decision-making processes.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate risk management into project planning and execution.
• Prepare and present detailed risk reports and dashboards to senior management and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
Requirements
• Proven experience as a Risk Manager, preferably within the mining or natural resources sector.
• Strong understanding of risk management principles, methodologies, and tools.
• Experience with risk analysis software (e.g., @RISK, Primavera Risk Analysis) is highly desirable.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving,,and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills,,with the ability to influence stakeholders.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., PMI-RMP,,IRM qualifications) are a plus.
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.
