Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading and managing the major repair programme
- Engaging actively with consultants, contractors, and elected members
- Implementing bridge design, maintenance, and structural solutions
- Overseeing the entire project lifecycle, from inception to completion
- Ensuring the programme is delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
- Managing project risks and implementing mitigation strategies
- Coordinating and securing necessary funding and resources
- Conducting site visits and attending meetings as and when required
Job Requirements:
- High calibre with significant experience in structural and bridge engineering
- Proven track record of managing large-scale public infrastructure projects
- Strong understanding of bridge design, maintenance, and structural engineering principles
- Essential knowledge of local government processes and experience with public sector projects
- Excellent project management and leadership skills
- Ability to work remotely with the ability to travel to site/ meetings when requested
- Proficiency in collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders
- Degree in civil engineering or a related discipline
