Job Location:
United Kingdom, primarily in the Oxford – Birmingham area.
Responsibilities:
- Daily review of the status of the plants in charge (production, KPIs, alarms, monitoring, security, etc.), and assessment of the need for corrective maintenance or additional work.
- Annual planning and monitoring of the Preventive Maintenance Plan for the plants, in accordance with the contract and manuals.
- Perform minor preventive and corrective maintenance work on-site.
- Coordinate, support and supervise the work of preventive maintenance subcontractors, ensuring that scheduled tasks are completed and all information is reported according to contract.
- Manage alarms and necessary corrective actions personally or through subcontractors or supplier companies.
- Maintain records and incident control; coordinate actions with involved parties.
- Communicate plant-related matters with various stakeholders: client, manufacturers, suppliers, internal teams, managers etc.
- Manage H&S related to plant operations: RAMS (Risk Assessment Method Statements), CPP (Construction Phase Plan), reviews audits; maintain up-to-date documentation.
- Calculate PR (Performance Ratio), availability; report contractual KPIs for plants to client/coordinator.
- Prepare monthly reports for plants; send them to clients.
- Conduct Taking Over inspections for new plants; review Pending List with Coordinator; coordinate construction team to resolve issues.
- IAC (Initial Acceptance Certificate) & FAC (Final Acceptance Certificate) processes: direct supervision/follow-up on punch-lists calculations documentation functional tests.
- Purchasing Management: PO requests proposals supplier relationships etc.
- Manage site access keeping security company updated responding to reported alarms.
- Ensure compliance with H&S environmental standards at plants.
- Comply with all legal applicable requirements regarding H&S Quality Environmental regulations.
Profile Required:
Technical or higher engineering degree in Electrical Mechanical Civil branches or related field; higher qualification in Electricity Electronics Renewable Energy similar is acceptable.
Training Requirements:
H&S training (First Aid CSCS SMSTS).
Valuable/desirable training: BS 18th edition JIB card
Valuable/desirable training as HV Authorised Person
Language Proficiency:
Proficiency in English at an intermediate–advanced level (B2 or higher).
Experience Requirements:
Valuable at least 1 year previous experience performing functions described above PV/BESS projects previous knowledge design operation maintenance PV BESS plants.
Knowledge Requirements:
Knowledge of PV BESS plant equipment (central string inverters batteries modules skids AC DC SCADA etc.), current PV BESS technologies communications architecture sensors actuators for control
Knowledge HV equipment transformers switchgear protection systems
Expert-level proficiency use monitoring SCADA software PV BESS plants
Intermediate–advanced proficiency Office applications
Other Requirements:
Full UK driving licence
