Senior Technical Agile Delivery Manager

About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Technical Agile Delivery Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of a large-scale Data Lake build within a complex, cloud-based ecosystem. This role requires a blend of deep technical knowledge, strong Agile delivery expertise, and strategic programme leadership. You will work closely with engineering, data, and cloud teams, ensuring seamless execution, governance, and stakeholder engagement. In addition, the ideal candidate will have extensive experience in SaaS platforms, budget management, programme reporting, and delivering in a Scaled Agile (SAFe, LeSS, or Spotify) environment.
Key Responsibilities
End-to-End Delivery Leadership
- Oversee the design, build, and deployment of a next-generation Data Lake and supporting analytics infrastructure.
- Oversee the design and implementation of a SaaS Product.
- Own the delivery roadmap, milestones, and execution strategy; ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration across data engineering, cloud architecture, security,and analytics teams.
Agile & Scaled Agile Programme Management
- Implement Scaled Agile methodologies (SAFe ,LeSS ,or equivalent) to structure delivery across multiple workstreams.
- Lead Agile ceremonies; drive continuous improvement; foster a culture of ownership and accountability.
- Ensure Agile teams are delivering high-value increments while managing dependencies effectively.
Technical Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as the bridge between technical and business teams; translating complex technical requirements into actionable plans.
- Partner with engineering and architecture teams to ensure best practices in cloud ,DevOps ,and data engineering.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders,vendors,and partners to align on strategy,risk,and priorities.
Programme Governance,Budget & Reporting
- Own and manage programme budgets; forecasting ;and cost optimisation.
- Deliver clear,data-driven reports on progress,risk,and mitigation strategies to C-level executives.
- Establish maintain governance frameworks to ensure regulatory security compliance.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience delivering large-scale data ,cloud ,or platform programmes in an Agile environment.
- Strong understanding of Data Lakes ,Data Engineering,and Cloud technologies (AWS,Aazure,GCP,Datrabricks,Snowflake).
- Excellent financial management skills ;with experience managing multi-million-pound budgets.
- Track record of driving Agile at scale (SAFe ,LeSS ,Spotify or similar frameworks).
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills ;with ability communicate effectively at C-suite engineering levels.
- Experience delivering SaaS-based solutions.
- Familiarity with DevOps,CICD,and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform CloudFormation) is plus.
