About The Procurement Operating Model Programme
The Procurement Operating Model Programme is focused on designing and delivering a robust procurement operating model, with an emphasis on Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) and ensuring regulatory compliance. The programme aims to optimise the organisational structure and processes to enhance operational efficiency and governance. The programme is currently in its initial phases, setting the foundation for a streamlined and compliant procurement process. The Project Manager will be responsible for driving key workstreams within this programme.
What You'll Do
- Lead end-to-end project management for critical workstreams within the initial phases, including operational model design and governance implementation, encompassing scoping, planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery.
- Conduct skills and roles gap assessments to evaluate current capabilities against the requirements of the new procurement operating model.
- Review and refine job descriptions to align with the designed organisational structure and ensure clarity of roles and responsibilities.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of project objectives.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including procurement, compliance risk management ,and technology ,to ensure alignment effective collaboration .
- Identify potential risks issues develop mitigation strategies escalate matters required ensure project success .
- Ensure all project documentation thorough accurate current facilitating transparency accountability .
- Conduct requirements gathering sessions key stakeholders define governance frameworks identify operational model needs .
- Analyse current-state procurement processes identify gaps recommend enhancements improved efficiency compliance .
- Develop future-state target operating models including organisational design process workflows technology integration .
- Prepare detailed business requirements documents (BRDs), functional specifications ,and process maps guide implementation .
- Collaborate with technology teams ensure systems tools align governance operational model objectives .
- Design implement governance frameworks tailored procurement ensuring compliance regulatory requirements industry best practices .
- Work closely legal compliance risk teams clarify roles responsibilities decision-making structures .
The Knowledge Experience And Qualifications You Need
Stakeholder Engagement
Serve as a liaison between procurement teams senior leadership ensure alignment project objectives procurement operating model deliverables . Communicate project progress updates stakeholders through regular presentations status reports ensuring transparency understanding milestones achieved . Facilitate collaborative workshops training sessions stakeholders promote engagement effective adoption new procurement governance frameworks operational practices . Gather feedback from stakeholders continuously refine operating model address concerns suggestions improvement .
Performance Metrics Reporting
Define key performance indicators (KPIs) specific procurement function assess effectiveness efficiency new operating model governance frameworks . Develop maintain dashboards reports provide real-time insight into project progress ,procurement performance compliance established governance mandates . Analyse project outcomes against defined metrics evaluate success identify areas further enhancement within procurement operating model .
The Knowledge Experience And Qualifications That Will Help
Bachelor's degree Business Administration Finance Supply Chain Management related field (MBA relevant certification preferred). Proven experience Project Manager procurement business operations financial services focus operational efficiency governance .
