The opportunity:
The Legal Training Manager - Contract (12 months) will oversee and contribute to developing training resources in support of the professional development of the Knowledge Community. The role-holder will be responsible for legal and industry training per the Firm and Knowledge strategy.

Responsibilities:
Legal and Industry Training:
- Identify and implement initiatives to support the development of lawyers at all levels in legal and industry knowledge and understanding, particularly within the context of and aligned with the Firm's Quality initiative
- Implement initiatives to support the continued development of a high-quality client training program
- Address engagement with training through collaborative working with key stakeholders
- Assist in implementing a comprehensive quality program that aligns with firm-wide standards
- Enable close working relationships between Knowledge, Leadership, Learning (L&L), optimizing efficiency
Service Orientation:
- Support Knowledge leadership team in developing legal training strategies ensuring alignment with Firm strategies
- Work closely with L&L team for seamless collaboration on products/services delivery
- Ensure design, governance structure quality alignment takes place per policy
- Deliver appropriate training supporting strategic priorities
Knowledge & Expertise:
- Maintain subject matter expertise engaging actively aware developments within market
- Understand complex evolving business requirements across Baker McKenzie network
- Work on mapping legal training requirements designing workable solutions
Operational efficiencies, quality & risk mitigation:
- Manage legal training maintaining quality assurance minimizing business impact/risk
- Oversee development improving knowledge use content defining policies best practices
Skills & Experience:
- A relevant bachelorโs degree
- Qualified as a lawyer or significant relevant experience working in knowledge management within law firms
- Able to build strong relationships quickly
- Experience facilitating groups/training; outstanding communicator at all organization levels
- Credible persuasive excellent presentation skills; experience leading managing projects/people
- Comfortable working within large complex environments; demonstrated ability driving results urgency setting strategies executing objectives
- Significant experience designing implementing legal training solutions desirable
- Fluent written spoken English required
