Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance software applications.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to create scalable and efficient solutions.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following industry best practices.
- Debug and resolve software issues, improving system performance and reliability.
- Implement automated testing to ensure software quality and reliability.
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Work in an agile environment, participating in sprint planning, code reviews, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
- Optimize and refactor existing codebases to improve functionality and efficiency.
What You Need To Succeed
Education:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
Experience:
3+ years of experience in software development.
Proven experience working with modern programming languages and frameworks.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript or C#.
Experience with front-end and back-end development including frameworks like React , Angular , Node.js or Django.
Strong understanding of databases (SQL & NoSQL).
Familiarity with cloud services such as AWS , Azure or Google Cloud.
Knowledge of DevOps practices , CI/CD pipelines ,and containerization (Docker , Kubernetes).
Soft Skills:
Strong analytical & problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication skills ,with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to work independently & as part of a remote team.
Adaptability & willingness to learn new technologies.
Bonus Points:
Experience with microservices architecture & API development.
Knowledge of security best practices in software development.
Relevant certifications in cloud computing , DevOps or software engineering.
Additional Information
Please note this role is outside of IR35 contract role . Likely for 8 months . The successful candidate will need to register as a PSC company with companies house & be responsible for deducting their own Tax & NI from HMRC .
