Location: Remote (with travel to multiple stakeholder sites for meetings)

Contract Duration: 3 months

Day Rate: £800+ per day

Impact:
As a Programme Manager in the client's UK projects, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing Programme Management consultative and delivery services that may include Business and Transformational activity. Engagements may be stand-alone or delivered within a Portfolio or Programme Management Office. The Programme Manager will lead assignments, being responsible for the business outcome and its overall success.

Assignment Scope May Include:
- Leading the delivery of large and complex change initiatives (formal Programmes and/or large/complex assignments)
- Programme Management consultative services e.g. development of business requirements, fixing troubled projects/programmes & maturity assessment

The Programme Manager will guide, motivate, and direct the customer's team and/or their team to achieve the agreed objectives. They are passionate about success and make a positive difference in the outcome of their assignment.

Team Collaboration:
- Part of the Portfolio and Programme Management Practice within Group Professional Services
- Line manager will be a Practice Manager from UK Projects
- Likely to lead a virtual and/or matrix Regional/Global team
- Engage with other areas within the company, including Sales Teams and Service Management
- Lead delivery across all areas of the company and possibly third-party providers and Customer Teams
- Engage and develop relationships with customers up to the CIO level, developing a deep understanding of the customer environment
- During assignments, may report to the responsible Sales Specialist, Account Manager or Service Director
and lead delivery to Customer or act as a member of Customer team (as part of resource augmentation assignment)
- Work location will vary depending on assignment; regular travel and on-site presence are expected

Core Responsibilities:
- Provide consultancy services or lead end-to-end transformation programmes
and/or projects within company or customer organisation
- Shape strategy, design, delivery to ensure Programme meets specific strategic objectives as part
of customer's wider Portfolio of Change
- Provide thought leadership to stakeholders both internal & external
to maximise customer Return on Investment against agreed assignment objectives & business case
- Understand & articulate what company sells/delivers; have good working knowledge
of technologies/solutions

Core Activities (Assignment Dependent):
- Define & implement programmes of change to deliver strategic objectives
- Act as subject matter expert with customer/internal stakeholders; recommend/implement appropriate methodologies & structures
- Drive culture accountability/improvement across all UK Projects resources/third parties working on assignment
- Manage assignment scope; understand commercial baseline supporting/leads development negotiation/agreement statement work contract/subsequent changes
- Produce/manage production programme artefacts including those related customer business case benefits realisation

How Success is Measured:
- Responsible for successful delivery assignments agreed financial baseline meet/exceed key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Measured based on customer satisfaction (internal/external), business growth/team engagement
- Personal objectives/development goals defined in Personal Development Plan
- Active engagement/significant contribution UK Projects activities/initiatives enable continual development

Key Skills, Knowledge And Training Required:
* A strategic mindset strong leadership proven ability lead large complex cross-functional assignments
* Familiarity current technologies ability articulate key benefits line company's propositions
* Demonstrable track record delivering complex high-risk assignments multiple successful programmes
* Ideally trained project programme management methodology e.g., MSP P3M3 Prince2 Agile
* Good understanding business strategy ability use strategy tools techniques SWOT PESTLE etc.
* Experience leverage knowledge customer industry best practices provide thought leadership establishing long-term relationships built trust/customer value
* Advanced level commercial acumen
* Demonstrable leadership skills personal gravitas CIO level
* Proven track record assurance governance/business management
* Excellent interpersonal skills ability build maintain relationships
