Technical Lead with off the shelf Integration Systems experience. C#/Azure. Commodities. £800-850/Day. Greenfield. 12 month rolling Contract.

Client Overview:
My client, a commodities trading firm, is looking for a Technical Lead that has been involved with several off the shelf trading and/or market data implementation projects.

Team / Project:
The Data team is responsible for providing business solutions aimed at extracting value from large amounts of data. It covers a broad range of activities such as collecting market data and building related analysis tools, processing of real-time data streams, data governance, and machine learning. This is a key role in a multi-year project which will replace two core market data systems with a single third-party solution.

Responsibilities:
- Be the primary point of contact for all technical aspects of the project
- Actively participate as a member of the wider project team
- Be responsible for end-to-end delivery of functionality from analysis and solution design through to implementation and release
- Participate in agile processes and ceremonies as part of ongoing delivery
- Mentor and review code of other developers
- Support the Project Manager with updates to senior stakeholders as required
- Liaise with project stakeholders as required
- Collaborate with other teams such as architects, IT Security, Platform Ops, Data Support to ensure the target system satisfies the company's guidelines and best practices

Required Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience working with all previous experience in market data systems
- Microsoft .NET knowledge (C#, API development) with few years of commercial .NET development experience
- Containerized application development and deployment
- Strong relational database experience with Oracle or SQL Server
- Good development practices such as test automation, IOC, SOLID principles, logging, and monitoring

Desirable Skills and Experience:
- Deploying 3rd party market data systems into an organization
- Experience working with integrating data add-ins for Excel
- Working in Microsoft Azure
- Automated continuous integration pipelines including automated deployment
- Agile development (Scrum preferred)
- Azure Dev-Ops (Team Foundation Server) for continuous integration, automated test execution ,and source code management (TFS GIT)
- Authentication/OAUTH2
