Main Responsibilities:
- This role will be pivotal in providing both financial and operational support to the sales team. The individual will deliver data-driven insights, assist with strategic deal planning, and conduct performance analysis to help optimise sales growth. They will collaborate with senior leadership in both the UK and the US to identify potential revenue opportunities across EMEA.
- The role supports the sales team throughout the entire sales process, from pre- to post-sales administration of deals across all media. The individual will also provide training and guidance to support staff as needed.
- Collaboration with Sales, Finance, Marketing and other cross-functional teams will be essential to ensure effective sales strategies and informed decision making.
Sales Planning & Analysis:
- Track individual sales performance against targets and ensure key deliverables and deadlines are met consistently.
- Support Senior leadership by providing strategic insights and actionable recommendations to enhance sales performance.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the Sales Hub Budget for the UK office, supporting the Sales Team with budget projections and ensuring accurate deal tracking and timing assumptions.
- Leverage commercial business acumen and industry benchmarks to provide insights on deal pricing strategies and deal composition.
- Collaborate with the Sales Team to identify licensing opportunities based on available content (avails) and market timing.
- Track new series information within Airtable; ensuring accurate and timely data on content availability is shared with the Sales team.
- Review weekly contracted data to ensure projections are adjusted and align with current deal progress.
- Act as a key point of contact for the UK office, ensuring alignment and clear communication with the US team to ensure timely deal execution and progress.
- Participate in regular Sales Planning and Sales Team calls to review the deal pipeline, identify risks or opportunities, ensuring timely deal execution.
- Generate weekly EMEA budget reports; sharing UK budget updates with finance team as needed; ensuring financial visibility for key stakeholders.
- Oversee EMEA deal review process by collating deals; circulating agendas; attending review meetings; ensuring deals have been uploaded into Sales Hub. Communicate approval status to Legal, Ops & other relevant teams.
- Analyse sales performance data identifying trends & opportunities for improvement offering actionable recommendations optimising sales strategies.
- Ad/Hoc requests (e.g., coordinating greenlight or Library estimates; one-off avails analyses; sales history reports; quarterly budget reports etc…)
- Create a quarterly report for Head of EMEA sales ahead of UK Board Meeting.
Sales Administration:
- Point person for EMEA sales team regarding all system/process/deal/document related administration. Acts as a key inter-departmental information conduit between UK & US Office;
- Collate & action all queries raised by team members offering assistance solutions;
- Ensure each deal receives appropriate management approvals & is entered into systems accordingly;
- Assist tracking pending contracts together relevant sale executive co-coordinator awareness specific contractual stipulations included long form agreements such catch-up restrictions Global SVOD deals communicate this sale;
- Maintenance shared online departmental files ensures all key documents relating new programming holdbacks availabilities client program feedback broadcaster landscapes broadcast information up-to-date ensures sale team saves work shared drives aware most recently updated documents;
- Facilitate future sale opportunities running regular product expiry reports increase renewed sale possibilities liaising international film teams ensure no extensions applicable due under recoupment where possible track windowing film product ensure each window fully exploited;
- Assist providing ideas new methods drafting opportunities marketing programming including bespoke packages clients thematic otherwise;
- Assisting Head EMEA in providing information Planning when required including estimates new programming.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Excellent interpersonal skills ability interact confidently senior leadership both UK US
- Advanced Excel skills proficient PowerPoint Tableau
- Experience Airtable Box Salesforce/Sales Hub
- Ability demonstrate experience television distribution industry in acquisitions broadcasting
- Good understanding film television rights windowing
