RATE: £450 - £500 PER DAY
LOCATION: ST AUSTELL, CORNWALL PL25
DURATION: 6 MONTHS +

This position for a freelance Quantity Surveyor will take responsibility for the commercial management working within the Civil Engineering sector on a national grid project. The contract is NEC so you will be fully conversant with this and be able to demonstrate a high degree of commercial knowledge and understanding of contractual and commercial processes.
KEY DUTIES, SKILLS, AND RESPONSIBILITIES REQUIRED:
- To be an ambassador for the commercial team, working closely with colleagues, clients, suppliers and across the supply chain to deliver a highly valued service.
- To consistently demonstrate a high level of commercial awareness of company services to create the best value solution for the client and company.
- To have a clear understanding of the contract applicable to the project on which you are working and the risks and opportunities that this presents.
- To understand the project measures and performance criteria, influencing the performance of suppliers and teams against these metrics.
- To produce accounts, forecasts and management information, monitoring costs and resources to ensure the project meets or exceeds target.
- To prepare valuations, variations adn invoice submissions adn payments through to project close out adn account settlement
