About Midnight
IOG's Midnight Tribe is a business technology provider and core contributor to the Midnight Network, a blockchain platform for developing decentralized applications that safeguard personal and commercial data. The Midnight Network is the first blockchain to offer programmable data isolation by leveraging zero-knowledge (ZK) proofs to enable selective disclosure of what information is visible on-chain and is designed to help developers implement necessary business policies such as meeting regulatory requirements. Compact, Midnight’s domain-specific language is a strongly statically typed bounded smart contract language designed to be used in combination with TypeScript for writing smart contracts.
What The Role Involves
As Senior Product Manager for Programming Languages and Tooling at Midnight:
- You will be responsible for creating feature requirements to evolve the language and developer tooling roadmaps.
- Grooming and prioritizing the backlog.
- Developing epics and user stories.
- Defining acceptance criteria for each.
- You will work closely with Product Design, Marketing, Developer Relations.
- Identify features into requirements for Language Architecture Engineering Squad ecosystem partners.
- Balance business needs with technical requirements; recommend alternative technical approaches when needed.
- Identify user needs; work with cross-functional teams deliver product releases.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Product Designers, Developer Relations Engineers Language Architects Engineers customers provide input into product roadmap drive execution of products features from concept launch fast-paced environment
- Translate product roadmap features into well-defined product requirements including features epics user stories acceptance criteria
- Lead language developer tooling functional design process based intimate knowledge users technology
- Prioritize maintain sprint backlog assigned product features balancing stakeholder requirements
- Work cross-functional teams various stakeholders analytics design/user experience engineering testing developer relations
- Turn data insights into products actionable outcomes target personas
- Work Agile environment continuously review business needs refine priorities outline milestones deliverables identify opportunities risks
- Partner operations departments define user experience internal users including production support monitoring
- Work product design developer relations product marketing provide input go-to-market plan collaborate commercial team ensure they have what they need successful
- Develop maintain appropriate tracking reporting product performance post-launch evaluate future investment
Requirements
Who you are:
-Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent experience
-Demonstrable proficiency in 3+ programming languages ideally spanning several programming idioms (procedural functional object-oriented …)
-Demonstrable experience capabilities limitations ZK proving systems
-7+ years experience as Product Manager similar role programming languages developer tooling blockchain web3 SaaS companies
-Technical background knowledge software development
-Domain expertise Agile Jira Github
-Proficient Agile methodologies leading technical design business teams
-Hand-on experience managing all stages product life cycle ideation rollout
-Efficient stakeholder management relationship-building skills

Product Management certification (CPM AIPMM) plus
