Client Overview
One of our clients is looking for an Infrastructure Engineering Lead to join them for a 6 month contract role.
Compensation
c.£500-550 per day, outside IR35.
Work Environment
This role is full time on site, based in Cambridge. This role is working in a Security Cleared environment. A minimum of SC clearance is required for this role. Therefore, you will need to be SC or DV cleared or eligible to undertake SC or DV Security Clearance.
Essential Skills
- Expert knowledge of the challenges of implementing complex enterprise IS systems comprising on-premise server infrastructure, hardware, software and networking at UK SECRET and above classification solution
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
- Ability to see big-picture designs from basic specifications
- Ability to assess and solve complex problems with many variables
- Experience in support and design in highly secure environments
- Advanced VMware skills, including a strong command of Horizon, AppVolumes, and a deep understanding of NSX-T
- Experience of VMware vRealize Suite, Automation, Operations, Log Insight and Lifecycle Management
- Experience with creating technical documentation - design documentation - technology and systems/network architecture - technical security standards
Desirable Skills
- Experience of VMware Cloud Foundation running on Dell VxRails
- Experience of Programming/Scripting Infrastructure as Code and Testing
- Experience of common automation tools eg Puppet, Chef, Terraform, Jenkins, Ansible, Github
- Firewall configuration, administration and design
- Experience of Gateway and Interoperability technologies used within High classification systems
- Knowledge of IT Service Management tools ie SolarWinds, ServiceNow, LogRhythm
