Site/Setting Out Engineer for Rail Project

PTS and CSCS required

As Site/Setting Out Engineer on rail and civil infrastructure project near Wymondham, Norfolk, you will be responsible for accurately setting out and surveying construction works. This involves interpreting project drawings and specifications, establishing site control points, and ensuring that all work is executed to precise levels, alignment, and location. Circa 2-3 month contract.

Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret and implement project plans, specifications, and designs.
- Set out, level, and survey the site using instruments such as GPS, total stations, and laser levels.
- Monitor construction progress and ensure compliance with design specifications and tolerances.
- Collaborate with site management, subcontractors, and project teams to resolve technical issues.
- Record and maintain accurate site records including daily diaries as well as built drawings
Ensure adherence to health & safety standards.

Requirements:
Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field
CSCS certification
PTS (Personal Track Safety) accreditation
Experience in setting out/surveying for civils/rail projects
Proficiency with survey equipment & CAD software
Strong problem-solving skills coupled by an eye towards detail
