Astra Content is seeking an outstanding Senior Editor (UK or Ireland-based) – ideally a top-notch current or former business / marketing journalist from a major publication – to lead the UK editorial work for a publication focused on technology and marketing. Since we're recruiting for a client, we can't name the publication here, but this is a fantastic role with a prestigious organization.
Role Overview
The successful Editor will be the voice of the client in the UK. They will be a highly effective and experienced writer and editor with the confidence to write, edit, oversee and approve content, as well as the skills needed to manage senior stakeholders. An important part of this senior role is storytelling and feature writing ability. The successful candidate will be able to take the germ of an idea and transform it into an engaging, attention-grabbing article that will have people talking. Ideally, they would have a deep understanding of the fast-moving marketing industry and great ideas about what it takes to stay ahead in the field. The role will also encompass content promotion, case study writing, and creating social media and email newsletters.

About You
- 5-10 years as a journalist / writer / editor at a major business or marketing publication
- Good knowledge of marketing, technology and B2B solutions
- Strong thought leadership skills
- Ability to understand and maintain the client's brand tone throughout all material
- A talent for training and coaching others on what it takes to produce strong content
- Experience in/willingness to learn about key marketing tools
- Ability to manage an external content agency
- Experience in handling graphics, images and video content
- A positive, can-do attitude
Further Information
This full-time contract position is UK or Ireland based. It will involve mostly working from home with very occasional visits to the London office.
