Divisional Supervisor
Description
Job Purpose
The Divisional Maintenance Supervisor will support the Division Operations Manager in the technical knowledge, reporting and coordination within the following areas:
- Project work e.g., Hospitality focus, P1s/P2s, Focus reports.
- Productivity reporting
- Compliance reporting PPM management
- Remote technical support Trade impacting incidents etc
- Spend & Budget control
Be the technical expert for CANO/Hospitality matters liaising with internal & external customers to drive Divisional results. Support the Division with absence cover for AMMs on an ad-hoc basis. Supporting the Division Operations Manager managing store escalations, supporting with communications with the ACM as a secondary line of contact. Be line manager for the divisional allocated lighting team colleagues for holidays, absence and first line manager duties liaising with the National Small Works Manager. All work will be completed to the highest standards in an efficient and cost-effective manner, whilst complying with all Health and Safety legislation.
Key Accountabilities
Safety
- Always comply with the company Health and Safety Policy.
- Complete all mandatory online training and Evolve modules.
- Ensure that compliance documentation is always completed and up to date highlighting any concerns across Division to DOM
People
- To ensure company policies and practises are followed and delivered consistently.
- To ensure people performance is optimised.
- Attend / hold meetings with your line manager and direct reports to ensure effective cascade of all City communications and ways of working.
- Attend training courses as necessary to ensure personal job skills keep pacewith technical developments.
- Support the Divisional Operations Manager on all technical, people and FM process issues.
- Provide cover for Area Maintenance Manager during times of absence or meetings if requested.
Excellence
- Prioritise workload in line with divisional priorities to achieve agreed timescales and response times.
- Identify non-repairable faults in plant/machinery; promptly advise Divisional Operations/AMMs of findings; provide recommendations regarding suitable replacement.
- Advise Divisional Operations Manager of any repair/maintenance issues arising from CANO/Hospitality report ensuring supplier/technicians actions are recorded.
- Carry out surveys; complete reports as required by Divisional Operations Manager.
- Always represent company professionally; develop good working relationships with City/customer employees
- Work collaboratively ensuring laid-down standards of quality are maintained at all times
- Monitor/report/update Mercury system including live job updates/resource availability
Integrity
- Ensure reports produced timely/professionally/confidentially
- Follow/support spend/budget control processes for Division ensuring costs agreed/validated/approved as required
- Communications to business/client professional/accurate ensuring only relevant information cascaded
Financial Responsibility
This role is responsible for logging material spending/purchasing supporting Line Manager ensuring best value from 3rd party contractors
People Responsibility
The Divisional Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for direct line management of lighting team liaising National Small Works Manager along responsibilities regional team absence AMM covering ad-hoc basis.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
Educated GCSE / Standard Grade level minimum NVQ Level 3/City Guilds 236 / Part 1 + 2 equivalent electrical installation/Maintenance.City Guilds 18th edition3 phase electrics applicationsAbility advise/support wide range electrical/mechanical equipment e.g., commercial ovens/dishwashers/microwavesQuality repairs maintenanceSpeed efficiency work within Excel Word other systems requiredMaintenance Health Safety policyClient City colleague relationships feedback
