IDTechEx is recruiting a Sales & Business Development Manager who will be responsible for all aspects of the sales cycle including qualifying leads, 'cold' contact calling, learning client objectives, arranging value-add demonstrations, conducting in-person meetings, representing IDTechEx at international events, creating business proposals, and strategically managing accounts.

In this role, you will be given a European territory (which may change from time to time) in our growing research sales division. This role involves effectively selling IDTechEx products and services which may include subscriptions, reports, consulting, and marketing services, and/or other products that the company may develop. Key Job Responsibilities
- Establish new business accounts through high volume daily cold-calling, prospecting at events, high activity on social media & contact databases; lead follow-up; monitoring relevant industry news to identify targets; creatively identifying new tools to achieve the same; and other means.
- Retain and grow existing accounts by ensuring needs are met and building trust.
- Prepare and deliver presentations and proposals to potential clients.
- Establish and develop strategic relationships with C-level executives.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients and partners.
- Manage your designated territory/account sales pipeline; think of strategic ways to develop your region; increase revenue (your designated region/scope may change from time to time).
- Match client needs to IDTechEx products/services.
- Familiarise yourself with competitors/what sets us apart from competition; stay updated on industry trends.
- Achieve/overachieve targets set for you.
- Work closely with IDTechEx teams (including analysts/marketing); maintain analyst/client/industry relationships.
- Develop/implement strategic business plans supporting company goals/initiatives.
- Follow progress in market/new trends impacting clients.
- Travel to customer locations/conduct presentations; represent company at events.
- Accurately maintain/update CRM database.
- Provide reporting as required – monitor/report on performance of business development activities.

Job Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years' proven B2B sales experience.
- Strong understanding of market dynamics/industry trends.
- A person with initiative/results-driven/highly self-motivated/adaptable quickly.
- Positive can-do attitude/sense of urgency/initiate creative thinking/problem-solving skills.
- Experience in a sales/business development role/proven results/YoY increased revenue preferred experience selling products/services (preferably subscriptions/research reports/marketing services but open to professionals from other industries).
- Excellent interpersonal/negotiate IT skills strong analytical/problem-solving abilities able travel extensively.

The position will be based in the UK with candidate working from home during European/UK business hours.
