Senior Instructional Designer

Pay Rate: £240 a day
Life Science Experience
- Experienced at conducting learning needs analysis and implementing subsequent learning solutions and methods of assessment.
- Thorough experience designing and implementing online and printable learning resources.
- Experience in designing and implementing online learning assessments.
- Thorough experience with learning tools, applications, and standards, for example, Microsoft Office (PowerPoint & Word), HTML, SCORM, and VLEs/LMSs.
Our team has an exciting opportunity available for an Instructional Designer / Content Designer / Learning Content Developer (or similar) to join us for 6 months on a specific purpose project. The ideal candidate should have a background and experience in developing learning curricula and materials across a variety of formats (i.e., print, online, and assessments) – preferably within a large matrixed organization.
Within a globally distributed sales and marketing team, they will be expected to collaborate on the project with SMEs (Subject Matter Experts) and Key Stakeholders. Working with these groups, they will need to surface, analyze, implement learning needs, goals, objectives, outcomes, assessment criteria and methods.
The candidate will need to be knowledgeable in learning theory and experienced in the application of learning models and processes (e.g., ADDIE, VARK). They will also need to recognize how and when to be pragmatic and flexible in the design delivery of learning solutions in the context of large change initiatives or workforce transformation processes.
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Lead act as first point of contact for all project related Instructional Design (ID) targets objectives tasks activities.
- Support other project leadership roles in the wider management of resources targets objectives tasks.
- Coordinate with SMEs key stakeholders wider team to surface business needs/problems; identify resulting learning needs participants’ profiles any evaluation/assessment methods criteria implement as part subsequent solutions.
- Work with SMEs Key Stakeholders wider team coordinate solution design development implementation evaluation phases.
- Work partnership Multimedia Developers design development storyboards simulations e-learning types content/resources.
- Work partnership training delivery experts coaches facilitators development room training live-online physical printable content/resources.
- Drive best practices process improvements within project across wider team organization.
- Ensure real case studies embedded training resources program commercial operations field force interactions.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
3+ years Instructional/Content Design experience within similar type large matrixed style organization. Otherwise 5+ years Instructional/Content Design experience.Proven experience working remotely onsite locations crucial.Experienced conducting analysis implementing subsequent solutions methods assessment.Thorough designing implementing online printable resources.Experience designing implementing assessments.Thorough tools applications standards example Microsoft Office PowerPoint Word HTML SCORM VLEs/LMSs.
