Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Marine Systems Engineer to support our Client’s global activities on various projects. In this role, you will prepare technical specifications and functional requirements for marine systems in FPSO and FLNG projects during the FEED phase and execution, and facilitate Technical Clarification meetings and HAZID/HAZOP sessions.

The Role:
Manage Methods Engineering activities to ensure product quality, assist other functions in implementing efficient installation and construction solutions, and organize design reviews to define optimal installation methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare technical specifications and functional requirements for marine systems in FPSO and FLNG during FEED and execution.
- Monitor and review FEED and EPC projects related to marine system equipment, P&IDs, and PFDs.
- Provide technical assistance in Technical Clarification meetings and lead HAZID/HAZOP sessions.
- Ensure compliance with Classification Society Rules, SOLAS, and MARPOL standards.
- Collaborate with the project team to implement effective marine system solutions and engage in HAZID/HAZOP processes to identify risks and mitigation strategies.

Requirements:
- Initial 12-month contract with potential for extension.
- Outside IR35.
- Remote working with no office requirement.

Essential experience in marine systems design.

Candidate's Qualifications, Professional Experience, and Skills:
- Proven expertise in designing cargo loading, storage, offtake systems, LNG tanks, and associated marine systems.
- Strong knowledge in preparing and reviewing project P&IDs/PFDs for marine systems.
- Familiarity with Classification Society Rules, SOLAS, MARPOL in FPSO & FLNG contexts.
- Experience overseeing FEED & EPC LNG projects; prior roles as second or chief engineer on oil tankers or LNG carriers preferred.
- Previous experience as a Classification Society surveyor or tanker/LNG ship vetting engineer is a plus.
- Active participation in HAZID/HAZOP meetings is required.
- OPITO certification for offshore travel is preferred.
- Extensive experience in marine systems design is crucial.
