Description
We are seeking a skilled
Temporary Housing Caseworker
to manage a small but complex caseload within our specialist housing service. This role involves overseeing and managing three key teams, ensuring effective case management and compliance with housing legislation.
Key Responsibilities:
Managing Teams
- Oversee the
Cessation of Duty, Resilience (Domestic Abuse), and No Recourse to Public Funds (NRPF)
teams, ensuring efficient case handling and decision-making.
Cessation of Duty
- Managing cases where housing duties end due to refusals, rent arrears, or other reasons.
Resilience (Domestic Abuse Team)
- Supporting households affected by domestic abuse.
No Recourse to Public Funds (NRPF)
- Assisting families under
Section 17 of the Children Act 1989
and supporting individuals under the
Homes for Ukraine
scheme.
Essential Requirements:
Strong knowledge of
Part VII of the Housing Act 1996 (as amended)
.
Understanding of the
Equality Act 2010
and
Children Act 1989
.
Experience managing complex housing cases, particularly those involving vulnerable individuals.
Proven experience in managing and leading teams within a housing or social care environment.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with colleagues.
