DevOps Engineer - Contract Opportunity
Our client, a global leader in the FMCG sector, is searching for a DevOps Engineer to join their team on a 6-month contract basis with the potential for extension. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced DevOps Engineer to join a fast-growing team with exciting role progression opportunities.
As a DevOps Engineer, our client are looking for candidates that can bridge the gap between platform management and web performance. This role is tailored to a full SaaS stack environment where the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting development teams and optimising CI/CD pipelines.
Key Duties:
Monitor health of the websites' pipelines
Monitor website KPI's (CrUX, Accessibility, security, etc.)
Track the progress of website owners and support pipeline issues
Review and approve access requests and service provisioning requests
Direct the support team on key support aspects and improvements
Identify gaps in the current CI/CD measurements and processes
Track usage/costs of key services (Dynatrace, Vercel, Algolia, etc.) and identify misuse/cost optimisations
Track SaaS products' regular enhancements, identify improvements that can be leveraged and plan change
Devise and update the companies DevOps strategy for consumer websites
Act as a liaison between development, QA, and operations teams, ensuring alignment on goals and technical needs
The role is less about building infrastructure, more around enhancing/deepening the checks to strive to augment the level of quality of the companies websites, at scale.
Tech skills required:
Azure DevOps
Vercel, Contentful, Dynatrace, Algolia, Auth0
Linux and PowerShell scripting
Experience in navigating/troubleshooting npm-packaged web projects - to triage code vs pipeline related issues
