Client Overview:
Our client, a global market leader in the production and process support of active pharmaceutical ingredients, both in the chemical and biotechnology sectors, is looking for a SecDevOps Architect / Kubernetes Atlassian to be based in EU (remote work) and able to go to the client's offices either in the UK or Spain. This is an initial 1-year contract with possible extension or internalization.

Role Overview:
The Kubernetes SecDevOps Architect ensures to architect and implement sustainable hybrid cloud and Onprem architectures including assurance of lean, automated and secure maintenance. Furthermore, also responsible for collaborating across senior stakeholders in amongst other areas of Digital, OT, Enterprise Architecture, Quality Assurance and IT Security. You will also be responsible for introducing containerization and associated concepts such as orchestration, central automation and infrastructure as code to the client and drive the DevOps culture within the company. The ideal candidate is a thought leader, a consensus builder, an integrator of people and processes as well as a sound subject matter expert in setting up cloud services (incl. People, organization, technical aspects, cost effectiveness, high reliability security etc.).

Responsibilities:
- Responsible for designing and maintaining containerized solutions.
- Design and implement cloud or on-premises infrastructure for IT and OT together with IT/OT infrastructure representatives which need to meet GxP requirements.
- Define cloud standards/frameworks to manage entire infrastructure lifecycle using DevOps techniques/technologies such as:
- Hardware provisioning (Infrastructure as code)
- CI/CD pipelines
- Linux implementation
- OpenShift Container implementation
- Testing automation framework
- Artifact repositories (Releases/images)
- Logs management/aggregation
- Events/Metrics management/aggregation
- Alert system
- Apps building/deployment
- Authentication/security framework

- Lead OpenShift/SecDevOps Operation team as ScrumMaster.
- Ensure all employees have right skills; provide additional training if needed.
- Maintain control over sprints ensuring timely delivery.
- Ensure proper design according to IT Security/QS standards; conduct reviews against architecture standards.
- Facilitate transition towards cloud-native setups for new applications ensuring business resilience.
- Define drive & implement new working methodologies using modern agile approaches with relevant stakeholders; act as ScrumMaster.
- Identify improvements/enhancements that provide more efficient services to business operations.
- Oversee project implementations conducting reviews against architecture standards.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Relevant working/residency permit or Swiss/EU-Citizenship required.
- Background in IT/Computer Sciences or related field required.
- 5–10 years’ experience as Enterprise Architect required.
- Deep Skills in Kubernetes/OpenShift at an Architect Level required.
- Deep Skills implementing CI/CD Pipeline/Security Tools required.
- Entrepreneurial mindset ideally demonstrated previously preferred.
- Excellent analytical/problem-solving skills essential.
- Effective prioritization/project management skills necessary.
