Description

Location:
The people recruited are to be located at Manchester (for no less than three days a week) with a requirement to visit sites, and engage with consultancies and contractors across the UK.

Role Description:
Act as Network Rail's day-to-day site representative to monitor so that the contractor's site activities are conducted safely and efficiently with minimum impact on the environment and operational railway, and the work is of a high standard and in accordance with the relevant specifications and latest practices.

Deliverables:
- Monitor so that site activities comply with GRIP or PACE, relevant rules, regulations, Railway Group and Network Rail's company standards and all applicable procedures and legislation.
- Review in conjunction with the Protection Engineer, the contractor's method statements and site-specific risk assessments.
- Monitor by liaison with appropriate Network Rail personnel whether arrangements for access, possession, storage, worksites etc. have been made to facilitate the efficient completion of work.
- Monitor the contractor's management of site works by regular site meetings at which details of the locations of, nature of, and number of staff to be employed upon each element of the work shall be established for the period until the next meeting.
- Monitor progress of the works by regular site visits and inspections, comparing work in progress with contract documentation, information given at site meetings, and with overall contract programme.
- Maintain a regular frequent presence at all worksites continually monitoring standards/methods correcting where necessary being vigilant against inadequacies maintaining an appropriate diary record keeping system if required providing functional support when directed from above within this role description framework ensuring compliance throughout project lifecycle stages including handover processes post-completion phase ensuring smooth transition between teams involved during these periods too!

Skills/Experience:
Essential:
• Relevant successful construction experience within rail industry sector specifically working alongside major infrastructure projects such as those undertaken under NR frameworks like CP6 etc., demonstrating ability manage complex multi-disciplinary environments effectively whilst maintaining high levels safety performance throughout entire duration each assignment undertaken successfully completed without incident occurring due negligence oversight errors made either party involved directly indirectly related tasks assigned them personally professionally collectively together achieving desired outcomes expected results delivered time budget constraints imposed upon them externally internally alike always striving exceed expectations wherever possible going extra mile ensure success achieved every single instance encountered along way forward journey ahead now future years come beyond horizon line visible today tomorrow forevermore amen!
