What You'll Be Doing
As a Senior Sourcing Manager, you'll be doing the following:
- Close engagement with colleagues on matters including revenue budgets, embedding savings, and supporting business cases for new projects and/or investments.
- Drafting and presenting annual sourcing strategies to Divisional Heads and the Group Head of Strategic Sourcing, encompassing leveraged savings opportunities.
- Transparent and detailed presentation of proposed contract awards, sourcing changes and recommendations.
- Utilising Group Finance platforms and templates for Purchase Orders, tenders and eAuctions to ensure financial and operational transparency.
- Regular engagement with the Group Legal team to minimise risk and maximise commercial leverage via agreements with clearly defined service levels, KPIs and appropriate remedies for non-performance.
- Engage acquisition business contacts to ensure rapid-delivery of financial benefits arising from wider JD-Group commercial leverage.
- Work with the Group Sustainability team to ensure sourcing approach contributes to Group ESG goals such as: i) Climate Change, ii) Sustainable Sourcing iii) Recycling and the Circular Economy.
- Act as a trusted adviser and subject matter expert leading procurement projects across all types of marketing services involving multiple channels/brands/territories for holistic solutions wherever possible.
- Partner with Marketing teams to formulate complex service requirements/scope, identify vendors/manage end-to-end RFP process/provide supplier evaluation framework/make recommendations on vendor selection.
What We're Looking For
- Commercial experience within fast-paced omni-channel retail or relevant commodity/services experience managing high levels of ambiguity/change.
- Confidence to own problems/issues; propose solutions; ensure deadlines/business goals are met.
- Influence - engage/drive change; own/resolving issues/challenges.
- Strong engagement/communication skills; experience successfully delivering process improvements/efficiencies.
- Attention to detail – focused/confident in all marketing categories.
- Driven by data/analytics; strong analytical skills/passion for using data developing innovative/effective solutions addressing business needs/initiate opportunities/deliver margin improvement.
- A strong negotiator able to influence using excellent oral/written communication/presentation skills.
- A builder of strong relationships with internal/external stakeholders.
