Role Overview:
We're looking for capable and motivated professionals for our Pricing and Underwriting team as Assistant Motor Underwriter . The Underwriting team is a core part of our business, dedicated to using modern technology to streamline underwriting processes, enhance the customer experience, and drive our overall growth.
Key Responsibilities:
1) Underwriting Support: Serve as the go-to expert for day-to-day underwriting queries and referrals from Customer Care and Claims Teams.
2) Process Optimisation: Develop strong working relationships with Customer Care & Claims Teams.
3) Risk Management & Auditing: Conduct underwriting audits ensuring robust risk control measures.
4) Compliance Coordination: Liaise with Compliance Team & Capacity Provider.
5) Complaint Resolution: Investigate complaints related to underwriting issues.
6) Definition of Underwriting Criteria: Contribute actively towards continuous improvement initiatives led by Senior Underwriter.
Candidate Profile:
A highly motivated individual seeking career within underwriting with strong communication skills.
At least one year professional experience in insurance business (motor insurance exposure preferred).
An "and why not" attitude; proactive critical thinker excited about dynamic environments.
Eager collaboration with experienced colleagues including Pricing Data Scientists & Software Engineers.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in motor underwriting function (not mandatory).
CII qualifications obtained would be advantageous but not required.
