Key Activities:
- Plan, monitor, and execute project activities to ensure delivery in line with MDP and gateway deliverables.
- Support the design and development of systems with the Principal Engineer and project Chief Engineers to optimise vehicle performance and deliver key vehicle attributes.
- Establish and control system design, release, development, and validation plans in collaboration with functional experts and in line with technical risk management processes.
- Direct supply chain activities in association with function group buyers, SQA, and logistics to ensure supplier nomination and timely delivery of components and systems for all phases of prototype, pilot, pre-production, and production builds.
- Ensure manufacturability and compliance with quality standards for all components and systems within the defined BOM.
- Review and manage the opening and closure of engineering concerns.
- Respond to requests for information or specification changes with assessments of risk and cost.
- Coordinate DFM (Design for Manufacture) and FMEA (Failure Mode Effects Analysis) activities to support project delivery.
