Senior Data Scientist
We are seeking an accomplished Senior Data Scientist with a passion for applying advanced analytics and machine learning to solve complex challenges in HR and Talent Management. This role is key to supporting the CTO in several important client engagements for 2025.
The ideal candidate will have a PhD in a quantitative field, deep expertise in Python and R programming, and a strong background in data engineering, predictive modelling and machine learning. You will lead the customisation and deployment of existing AI solutions, within our company's portfolio and be adept at supporting client-side systems integration too.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, assess and implement models to productionise analytical outcomes across the employee lifecycle.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define measurable KPIs and success criteria for analytics initiatives.
Customise and deploy existing solutions across Talent Acquisition, Workforce Analytics and Talent Intelligence.
Research, discuss, share and implement state-of-the-art AI techniques to improve performance across HR processes and systems.
Collaborate on core data engineering tasks to design and maintain scalable data pipelines and architectures, ensuring high-quality data availability for analytics and reporting.
Partner with our clients' business leaders to understand their challenges and align analytical solutions with business objectives.
Prepare detailed technical documentation for client discussion, review and sign off.
Qualifications, expertise and skills
PhD in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Operations Research, or a related quantitative field.
Programming: Proficiency in Python and R, with experience in libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, and ggplot2.
Data Engineering: Hands-on experience with data pipeline tools (e.g., Apache Spark, Airflow) and database systems (SQL and NoSQL).
Machine Learning: Strong knowledge of supervised and unsupervised learning techniques, natural language processing (NLP), and optimisation algorithms.
Experience developing and deploying People analytics solutions is desirable but not essential
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Strong analytical thinking with a focus on problem-solving and delivering actionable insights.
