The Project
As a highly experienced Quantity Surveyor, you will have a key role as part of the commercial team overseeing a £2m commercial refurbishment project in Liverpool. You be managing the financial aspects of the project, collaborating closely with stakeholders, proactively mitigating financial risks, ensuring regulatory compliance and driving the project to completion on time and within budget.
Requirements
It is essential that you hold the experience below;
- Proven history of successfully delivering commercial packages on new build / refurbishment projects with build values in excess of £2m
- Extensive background within the industry with at least 5 years of experience working in a similar position for a leading contractor or subcontractor

Duties
- Procurement
- Evaluation of tender provisions
- Supply contractors with interim and final payment documentation
- Monitor project expenditures, ensuring costs remain within budget
- Establish and oversee project budgets to ensure effective cost control
- Deliver cost insights and financial guidance to clients and project teams
- Recognise and oversee financial risks, formulating strategies for their mitigation
- Uphold high standards of financial management and ensure accuracy in reporting
- Assess and analyse bids from contractors and suppliers to ensure they are cost-effective
- Manage disputesand claims regarding expenses, striving for swiftand effective resolution
- Provide clientswith frequentproject updatesand address any additionalconcerns they may raise
- Create comprehensivecost plansand budgetsderived from architecturaland engineering designs
- Implementandoversee strictcompliancewith applicablelaws regulations,and industry standards
- Assessand managemodificationsand change requests ensuringthefinancial implicationsare properlyconsidered
- Addressallfinancial mattersensurea seamlessproject closurewhile maintainingdetailed recordsfor thoroughfinalization
