Description
Location: Scotland (Hybrid Office Based: Glasgow OR Site-based across Central Belt, Fife, East & West Borders)
Rate: £400 - £500 per day (CIS)
Start date: ASAP
Contract length: 6 months
Overview:
This role offers the opportunity to play a key part in the final stages of these projects, ensuring accurate financial reconciliation and successful completion. We are looking for team players with a strong work ethic and attention to detail, eager to contribute to a busy and dynamic environment.
About the Role:
This role focuses on bringing projects to a successful financial conclusion. You will be working within a team of Quantity Surveyors, contributing to the final account process, managing fluctuations, resolving outstanding cash balances, and reconciling claims to date. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working on multiple projects simultaneously and possess excellent organizational skills.
Duties:
- Final account preparation and agreement.
- Management of fluctuations and variations.
- Resolution of outstanding cash balances.
- Reconciliation of claims to date.
- Collaboration with the project team to ensure accurate financial closeout.
- Supporting the Commercial team with reporting and analysis.
- Other duties as required by the Commercial Manager.
Requirements:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or similar qualification.
- Willingness to work effectively within a team environment.
- Experience with site measurements, validations, and calculations OR strong Excel spreadsheet skills and commercial administration experience OR both.
- Experience in the utilities sector, particularly with 6kV - 11kV projects is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
