Key Responsibilities:
- SAP ILM Implementation & Configuration:
- Lead the implementation, configuration, and optimization of SAP ILM solutions to ensure data is properly retained, archived, and deleted as part of decommissioning projects.
- Configure retention policies, data archiving processes, and deletion rules in SAP ILM, ensuring alignment with business and regulatory requirements.
- System Decommissioning:
- Oversee the decommissioning process for legacy SAP systems, ensuring that relevant data is archived according to ILM guidelines before system shutdown.
- Ensure that data migrations and transitions from legacy systems to newer platforms or archival storage solutions are conducted securely, efficiently, and in compliance with data governance policies.
- Project Execution:
- Advise, scope, plan, and execute transformation projects into and within SAP’s Intelligent Enterprise, based on SAP ILM standard software and related consulting solutions in areas such as system decommissioning, retention management, or business data archive handling[1].
- Standardization and Automation:
- Standardize service offerings by creating structure and assets for service execution.
- Actively drive further standardization and automation of the respective services to allow for scalable support of customers[1].
- Team Collaboration and Enablement:
- Collaborate with colleagues across different organizational units, hierarchy levels, and locations around the world.
- Enablement of project team members or consulting teams through knowledge sharing, coaching, mentoring, and educating other people[1].
Key Requirements:
- Experience:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with SAP Information Lifecycle Management (ILM), including data archiving, retention, and deletion.
- Strong background in managing SAP system decommissioning projects, including data migration, archiving, and ensuring compliance with retention policies.
- Experience in implementing SAP ILM solutions for large-scale enterprises, with a focus on legacy SAP systems decommissioning[5].
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in SAP ILM and its integration with other SAP systems (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, SAP BW, SAP CRM).
- Familiarity with SAP Data Services, SAP Archiving, and SAP HANA for managing and transitioning archived data.
- Strong understanding of SAP data objects, system architecture, and how ILM integrates with other enterprise applications[5].
- Additional Skills:
- Very strong experience in SAP Information Lifecycle Management (SAP ILM) and related use cases such as System Decommissioning, Retention Management, or Data Protection & Privacy.
- Knowledge of related DMLT automation solutions is a strong asset.
- Good programming knowledge and experience in ABAP; programming skills in Python or JAVA are a strong asset.
- Good skills in structuring and documenting information, methodologies, and procedures.
- Proven track record in knowledge sharing, as well as coaching, mentoring, and educating other people.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills in English[1].
Work Environment:
