x2 Contract Data Scientists
Location: UK Remote - Occasional travel to London
Duration: 3 month duration
Start Date: Immediate Start
Security Clearance: Required
Rate: £400 - £475 per day
Overview:
Our client has recently completed an AI proof of concept for their end client in the public sector. They are now looking to productionise the POC and deploy this into the live environment by the end of March 2025.
Required Skills:
- Strong Python knowledge
- Azure services & Azure machine learning (AML) platform
- Natural language processing (e.g., named-entity recognition, regex, unstructured data)
- Intelligent document processing (e.g., layout-aware text extraction)
- Text embeddings, LangChain and LLM deployment
Responsibilities:
- Own the end-to-end implementation and design of data science models/components, seeking guidance and input from Lead Data Scientist.
- Help structure and provide technical assurance for the work of less experienced practitioners, enabling them to maximise quality and velocity.
- Monitor the application of methods and requirements, pro-actively managing technical risks and issues.
- Ability to communicate service design, implementation and risks effectively.
- Hands-on knowledge of designing and implementing solutions capable of handling sensitive data (e.g., Personally Identifiable Information).
