Finatal is recruiting for a Financial Analyst to join a rapidly growing multi-site retail business, backed by a lower mid-market private equity fund. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a highly acquisitive business with multiple acquisitions in the pipeline. Role Overview
As a Financial Analyst, you will play a key role in analysing financial data, supporting acquisitions, and driving strategic decision-making. You will be responsible for financial modelling, KPI analysis, and investment appraisals to ensure the business continues its strong growth trajectory.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Analysis & Reporting: Provide detailed financial analysis, tracking key business performance indicators and identifying trends across multiple sites.
Financial Modelling: Develop and maintain detailed financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, scenario analysis, and investment decisions.
M&A Support: Assist with financial due diligence, investment appraisals, and post-acquisition integration.
Budgeting & Forecasting: Work closely with senior finance and operational teams to develop robust financial models, forecasts, and scenario analysis.
KPI Development: Design and monitor key performance metrics to assess business health and operational efficiency.
Commercial Insights: Provide actionable insights to senior management to optimize revenue, margins, and cost efficiency across the retail portfolio.
Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with private equity investors, finance teams, and operational leads to drive data-driven decision-making.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance financial reporting, automation,,and data visualization.
Qualifications and Experience
ACA,CFA or CIMA qualification (preferred). Strong financial modelling skillsand proficiency in Excel , Power BI ,and accounting/ERP systems . Exposureto M&A or investment analysis is highly desirable . A data-driven problem solverwith excellent attentionto detail anda strong commercial understanding . Abilityto translate complexfinancialdata into clear insightsfor senior managementand non-financial stakeholders . Entrepreneurial mindsetwith aproactive ,results-driven approach ,comfortableworkingin afast-paced ,acquisitive environment . Minimum 2 years experiencein investment bankingor privateequityor 2 years FP&A/transaction services/FDD experience
