Contract Management Specialist - Public Sector Programmes

As part of a high-profile public sector transformation programme, we are seeking experienced Contract Management Specialists to support the management, oversight, and optimisation of critical service contracts. These contracts underpin essential public services, requiring a strategic and proactive approach to ensure efficiency, compliance, and value for money.
About the Role
You will play a pivotal role in contract performance management, supplier engagement, and risk mitigation, ensuring that service delivery meets strategic objectives and regulatory requirements. Working within a complex, multi-stakeholder environment, you will navigate commercial challenges, drive continuous improvement, and maintain robust governance across service contracts.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee end-to-end contract lifecycle management, ensuring adherence to service levels, commercial terms, and compliance requirements.
Monitor supplier performance, identifying risks, resolving disputes, and driving operational efficiencies.
Lead contract variations, negotiations, and change management processes to align with evolving service needs.
Provide strategic advice on contract governance, procurement best practices, and financial oversight.
Work collaboratively with stakeholders, policy teams, and commercial leads to ensure contracts support broader organisational objectives.
What We're Looking For
Proven experience in contract management, supplier performance oversight, or commercial governance within public sector, defence, or large-scale service delivery environments.
Strong understanding of public procurement frameworks, contract law, and regulatory compliance.
Ability to navigate highly complex and sensitive operational environments, engaging effectively with multiple stakeholders.
Exceptional problem-solving, negotiation, and analytical skills.
Active SC Clearance is required.
