About The Team:
FIS Balance Sheet Manager is an enterprise-wide risk platform for banks with an impressive global client base including Tier 1 international and regional lenders. It integrates risk metrics, analysis and regulatory compliance across all aspects of the balance sheet, including ALM, Liquidity, Credit and Market risk, Capital, FTP, Hedge Accounting and P&L Planning. By applying a comprehensive forecasting and stress testing environment to these capabilities, FIS Balance Sheet Manager provides the tools for a bank to fully model and understand balance sheet behaviour in all conditions and support its ICAAP, SREP and solvency processes.

What You Will Be Doing:
The most important part of the role is to demonstrate your specialist knowledge of the market in which our prospects operate as well as of the product itself. By showing you understand the problems they are looking to solve you will establish the credibility needed to convince them our solution is the correct strategic choice. This is a client facing role. You will be comfortable presenting to senior people, establishing immediate credibility with opinion formers and decision makers. You will be comfortable operating as part of a team across sales, delivery services and product management working on large often complex sales projects with high capital values.

This is a senior position within the organization. It will have direct input into the product management group with responsibility for developing repeatable high-quality strategies for improved sales presentation and team efficiency.

Additionally you will work with our technical and product management staff to tailor the application to meet unique requirements that you will have found during discovery discussions with our prospect. A key indicator of success will be uncovering problems or issues that they have not specifically identified.

The role will include traditional responsibilities such as analysing client requirements during discovery meetings preparing scenarios for demonstrations including being able to configure platform demonstrating software formulating appropriate responses answering ad-hoc questions on functionality for prospects running functional workshops responding RFI/RFP documents. The role is based in UK but we consider other European locations for right candidate; willingness travel important (regularly Europe possibly North America Middle East Africa Asia). This includes attendance support at trade shows client events.

This is not a development or technology role but technical background familiarity technical concepts/or some programming experience would be an advantage; platform highly configurable showcasing how system meets prospect’s needs valuable.

Lastly you will help develop new business opportunities using your knowledge industry trends regulatory change competitor offerings develop thought leadership positions provide input product management process.

You are likely currently in or have recent experience pre-sales professional services position software vendor within treasury risk industry or experience working bank risk finance ALM functions.

What You Bring:
- At least 4 years’ experience working within software company as Pre-Sales/Professional Services consultant in risk or within bank in risk finance operational role
- In-depth knowledge of risk balance sheet management in bank
- Specific knowledge credit risk modelling techniques
- Good grasp technology technical concepts sufficient support scenario preparation requiring software configuration
- Analytical consultative approach client engagements evaluating business problems proposing solutions
- Understanding entire sales cycle from market research through contract signing
- Equally comfortable working independently part team
- Ability organise prioritise multi-task
- Excellent written verbal communication skills
- Outstanding presentation abilities
- Fluency additional European language would be advantage

Desirable Additional Skills:
- Specific knowledge/experience economic capital unexpected credit loss modelling especially CreditMetrics methodology
- Specific knowledge/experience bank’s ICAAP/SREP process
- Experience direct competitor such Moody’s Wolters Kluwers MORS Empyrean etc their respective solutions
- Exposure PowerBI A technical background/or programming/developer skills
