Network Engineer
Whitehall Resources currently require an experienced Network Engineer to work with a key client based in London
Skills, Roles and Responsibilities
. Must have - Hands-on and skills in Paloalto Firewalls
. Must have - Hands-on and skills in SD-WAN # Silverpeak
. Must have - Hands-on and skills in Aruba & Ruckus wireless Infra.
. Participate in war rooms for critical site issues
. Create and maintain run books for various and operational needs.
. Create the SOP#s for day-to-day repeatable work
. Maintain best practices on managing systems and services across all environments.
. Handle all L2/L3 problem tickets.
. Manage and maintain network structure of regional sites.
. Fault-finding, analysis and logging of information for reporting of performance exceptions.
. Provide input on ways to improve the stability, security, efficiency, and scalability of the Network.
. Fine-tuning and configuring various Network infrastructure.
. Maintaining access control, as well as the integrity of data.
. Manage network Servers and technology tools.
. Physically visit the sites and troubleshoot issues.
. Coordinate with offshore team and troubleshoot issues.
. Follow up of IT Helpdesk
. Prioritize work based on severity and customer impact.
. Handle sensitive escalation issues and conflicting/competing priorities.
. Participate in a 24/7 global coverage plan, including weekend on-call and holiday coverage.
. Coordinate with service providers for resolving ISP related issues.
. Ability to diagnose complex network problems and find the root cause
. Maintains and improves network stability by upgrading existing network infrastructure
. Provides support for network infrastructure problems by monitoring the team's support queue; troubleshooting and diagnosing problems; identifying the root causes of problems; ensuring corrective action is taken following problem identification; developing plans of action to address network performance problems; aiding team members in the resolution of problems; and holding suppliers accountable for delivering corrective actions.
. Collaborate cross functional teams of Network and Security Architects, Server and Platform Engineers, and Data Center Operations
. Maintain switch, router, and other hardware support.
