Are you an established EC&I Design Engineer seeking to take the next step in your career within the Nuclear Sector?

Do you have strong AutoCAD design experience and experience of the design & delivery of Electrical Enclosures, Control System Panels & Motor Control Centres?

The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity for an EC&I Design Engineer has opened up, where you will produce with input and guidance from the engineering design team, engineering design work packages (specifications, drawings, analysis, verification or assessment of engineering) that satisfy the legal and functional requirements along with the associated performance conditions to the agreed time, cost and quality.

Your duties and responsibilities will be:
- The technical generation and review of engineering design drawings, mainly in relation to control system cubicles, enclosures, and interface panels. Ascertaining constraints and design impacts from site visits, collaboration with the engineering teams and stakeholders, and oversight of manufacturing and assembly of such designs to a high-quality level.
- Provision of associated information such as Power Load and Heat Calculations, electrical instrumentation/interface drawings, I/O Schedules, Hardware Test Specifications, Inspection & Defect Reports, Purchase Order & Material Traceability, Lifetime Quality Records.

You will have the following qualifications and experience:
- Significant Experience in the use of AutoCAD.
- Must have significant demonstrable experience in EC&I Project Delivery.
- Experience of the design & delivery of Electrical Enclosures, Control System Panels, Motor Control Centres etc.
- Competent in the application of CDM Regulations.
- Competent in the application of IET Wiring Regulations.
- Experience of space management panel layouts cable routing cable management & cable calculations load & heat calculations.
- Have ability to work as part of an Integrated Delivery Team as well as individually working within sometimes restrictive time constraints.
- Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Have strong interpersonal skills; able to interact with people at all levels.
- HNC or evidence substantial experience with a high emphasis on EC&I engineering.

It's great if you also have:
- Experience with PLC/HMI/SCADA Control Systems.
- Experience delivering against BS 61508 &/or BS 13489
- Experience in delivering Management Systems.
- Member relevant professional institution – typically IET.
