Insight Investment is looking for a Senior Project Manager for a contractor position who can provide PPM services to Business Change for Insights business partners. The focus of this position will be to work closely with the business units to gain in-depth understanding of business strategy, processes, services, roadmap, and the context in which the business operates. This role will be key to understanding and managing the capabilities needed to address business/regulatory deliverables.
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading teams to deliver project(s) that span across one or more business units. Manage resources, schedules, financials and adhere to stage gate quality and SDLC control guidelines throughout the full systems development life cycle. This also includes management of issues, risks and project change requests to ensure successful and on-time project delivery. Contribute to process improvement initiatives as it relates to improving project delivery.
The Senior Project Manager has the authority to run the project on a day-to-day basis. Verify that the project produces the required deliverables of quality, within the specified constraints of time and cost and to achieve the potential benefits defined in the business case.
Role Responsibilities
Collaborate with stakeholders and report to them on a regular basis
Ensure projects remain on schedule, within budget and in scope
Create, manage, and distribute project communications, including charters, schedules, and budgets
Lead team through execution of project
Assist in business development, such as proposals, RFPs, and estimates
Monitor and report on project’s progress and performance
Plan, schedule and track projects and staffing
Establish key metrics, KPIs
Develop project controls and risk management procedures
Responsible for training, managing and motivating team members
Resolve technical and operational issues
Management of project risks and dependencies
Assisting business Operational workstream leaders to construct and monitor plans.
Act as a cross Operational workstream contact
Construct presentations and status reports
Present solutions to external parties
General support to the project team
Manage external partners and suppliers
Construct full businesses cases
Define project scopes and deliverables
Explore market infrastructures
Lead fee negotiations – where required
Lead Legal negotiations – where required
Experience Required
Knowledge
Proven track record as a lead Project Manager role within financial services
Proven track record working as a lead Project Manager on wide variety of Regulatory Initiatives such as LiBOR, SFDR etc.
Management of external partners and suppliers
Ability to create and define operating models
Exposure to a wide spectrum of financial products including ETD, OTC, FI, Equity, and their associated market practice / processes
Understanding and demonstrable knowledge of a buy side asset manager
Exposure and understanding of both Middle and Back Office processes and suppliers and exposure to managing middle/back-office transitions

Experience
Financial services background essential
Demonstrate delivery of successful projects within buy/sell side institutions.
Attending Regulatory Forums and attending Roundtable meetings
Presenting to external clients and senior/executive stakeholders
Management of external suppliers
