Cloud Infrastructure Engineer - Warrington - £300/day (Outside IR35)
Company Overview:
A highly successful and rapidly growing business with a head office in Warrington, are looking for a Cloud Engineer to be responsible for the support, maintenance, and improvement of their Cloud environment. This is a brilliant opportunity to join a dynamic, forward-thinking business on an initial 4-month contract.
Job Requirements:
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical users
- Occasional travel to their Warrington office will be required once a week
Contract Details:
- Duration: 4 months (initial contract)
- Rate: £300/day (Outside IR35)
- Location: Warrington (hybrid remote)
- Start date: 17/03/2025
Responsibilities:
• Ensure the Cloud network and systems are secure from attack and compliant with recognised security standards and best practices.
• Monitor the Cloud network and provide expert knowledge and guidance on security risks and improvements as well as supporting business communication and messaging systems.
• Support Cloud public facing, load balanced, web servers, configure and maintain Cloud firewalls, routers, switches for optimal operational security.
• Devise optimal configurations for Cloud systems; plan improvements from initial design to rollout while taking full responsibility for project progress.
• Play a key role in Cloud Architecture design by advising on building AWS Solutions from idea to production.
Required Experience:
To be suitable for this AWS Cloud Engineer role you will have experience across the following:
• Main Services where knowledge is essential: EC2, RDS, IAM, CloudTrail, CloudWatch, ECS, S3, CloudFront, Control Tower & Networking.
• Maintenance tasks including patching; access & account creation for all AWS environments.
• Management/Monitoring involving day-to-day management/monitoring alerts; actioning alerts when necessary.
• Networking with strong understanding of Security Groups; NACLs; Subnets; VPC; WAF; ALBs/NLBs & flow logs.
• Strong understanding of benefits & cons of cloud computing & cloud models.
