Contract: Data Center Network Security Architect
Location: Remote work (UK based) with occasional travel to Italy
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 3 months
Rate: Ā£550-625 a day (Deemed Outside IR35)

Responsibilities:
- Must have experience of Design of new Data Centers/In-depth Palo Alto and Cisco Firewall technologies.
- Happy to be hands on if needed/Team player and able to roll sleeves up. Excellent English required (Italian a bonus).
- New Data Center build in Italy. You will be responsible for the Network Security Architecture element of the project.
Project/Program Oversight and Support:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with delivery management, project management, and engineering teams internationally.
- Actively participate and support delivery engineers throughout all phases of a project, including Project Launch Workshops, Kickoff calls, lessons learned, etc.
- Review client deliverables to identify opportunities to improve quality through training, mentoring, product offering improvement, and talent acquisition.
- Provide QA, escalation support, and mentoring for delivery teams.
- Development of implementation and backout plans.
Delivery:
- Create Requirements, High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documentation for brand new Data Center.
- Create detailed implementation and testing documentation including physical build and cabling instructions.
- Create change/cut window Method of Procedure (MOP) documentation.
- Perform advanced engineering services supporting the engineering delivery team when necessary.
- Champion the delivery of complex Network solutions.
- Responsible for creating documentation for Network and Security technologies.
- Perform SME and hands-on delivery engagements as needed.
Qualifications/Experience:
- Advanced knowledge and/or certifications in at least one of the following platforms is also beneficial: Arista, Aruba, Cisco, Check Point, F5, Fortinet, Juniper, Palo Alto, Zscaler
- Extensive expertise in next generation Firewall solutions (NGFW).
- Deep knowledge of TCP/IP communication and routing is required (VRRP, HSRP,VSRP ,ISIS ,OSPF ,EIGRP ,BGP).
- Extensive technical knowledge of TCP/IP ,UDP Ā and IP services (eg DNS,DHCP,NTP), Load Balancing.
- A deep understanding of WAN technologiesĀ and inter site connectivity,and traffic segmentation/separation.
- Extensive knowledge in Firewall technologies for securing connectivity externally,and between internal zones,such as secure seperacy between production IT managementĀ and Building management systems(SCADA)for example.
- ExperienceĀ and expertise in developing architect-level networkĀ and security topology solutions.
- Proven track recordĀ of successfully managingĀ and delivering complex IT projects on time Ā and within budget utilizing programmatic approaches eg Agile or Waterfall .
- Demonstrated ability to design develop implement scalable reliable secure efficient technical solutions .
- Skilled in navigating uncertain rapidly changing environments with proven ability use data identify core issues make informed recommendations .
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with knack breaking down complex situations manageable components facilitating clear decision-making processes action plans .
- Strong communication abilities especially faced incomplete information shifting priorities .
- Expertise aligning technical solutions business objectives demonstrating deep understanding technology can drive efficiency growth competitive advantage .
Experience Requirements:
Minimum five years (5) industry experience in IT infrastructure architecture development technology consulting advisory or professional services. At least 3 years experience as Senior Lead Architect equivalent experience. Extensive knowledge Routing Switching Firewall based Security Campus Datacenter Network Design Implementation Migrations required ideally Architect deep understanding technical network security considerations large scale AI projects . Extensive technical knowledge network security protocols(IPSEC VPN SGT SSL VPN AAA Dot1x TrustSec NAT QoS etc.)
