Company Overview
MCS Group is looking for a highly experienced Lead Product Owner for a 6 month contract in Belfast. This is a genuinely unique opportunity to work with a homegrown, NI based company who are already achieving huge things within their sector.
Contract Details
- Duration: 6 months
- Location: This role requires at least 3 days per week on site in Belfast, Northern Ireland, for the duration of the contract.
The Role
As Lead Product Owner, you will:
- Define the product vision and road-map, and identify opportunities for growth.
- Work closely with stakeholders, collaborating internally and externally, aligning the product road-map to the overall strategy.
- Collaborate with technical and development teams to plan new feature development and maintain the product backlog.
- Develop specifications and translate these carefully back to relevant teams.
- Lead product-release plans and manage expectations around new feature delivery timeframes.
The Person
Essential qualifications include:
- A degree (or equivalent) in a STEM subject.
- A formal Agile/Scrum Product Owner Certification.
Experience required:
- Significant experience in a similar role in a technology environment (ideally 5+ years).
- Demonstrable experience of successful stakeholder management.
Skills required:
- Outstanding communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Technical requirements:
- Experience working with Jira or similar ticket management system.
- Solid working knowledge of various project management tools/technologies.
