Description
Summary: The ML Engineer role involves contributing to a greenfield build of a new platform focused on predictive pricing using historic data and advanced AI tooling. The position requires a skilled professional with expertise in AI and machine learning to influence leadership decisions through innovative solutions. The role is remote with occasional travel to Leeds and offers a competitive daily rate outside IR35. The contract duration is 10 weeks with a strong possibility of extension.
Key Responsibilities:
AI Pricing Development: Using historic data to enable predictive pricing.
Independent Execution: Take ownership of the end-to-end development of the platform.
Collaboration: Partner with a Business Analyst/Delivery Manager to shape requirements and engage with stakeholders.
Key Skills:
Strong experience in data engineering and working with AI/ML technologies, ideally Python/Node.js.
Knowledge of ML algorithms: XGBoost, Random Forest, etc.
Solid understanding of data extraction, preparation, and processing for predictive modelling.
Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Experience with pricing models or similar predictive AI use cases (desirable).
Familiarity with tools and frameworks commonly used for AI/ML development (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) (desirable).
