Data Transformation & Migration Director Contract Opportunity

Contract Duration: Initial 6 months (outside IR35)
Location: Hybrid model with some days required in London HQ

Programme Overview

Objective:
My client has a new platform that is in the final stages of build which will ultimately run their business globally. It will go live in the USA first and this will include the implementation of a new PAS, Agent Desktop and digital products that serve B2B and B2C customers.

Scope:
They are seeking a Data Transformation and Migration Director (or potentially Head of/Senior Programme Manager level), to lead the end-to-end migration of critical data from a source system to a new Policy Administration System (PAS) and eight other target systems as part of a US transformation programme. This role is pivotal in ensuring data integrity, accuracy, compliance, and business operations throughout the migration process.

Role Summary and Responsibilities

- Develop and own the data migration strategy, ensuring seamless transition from the source system to the new PAS and platform.
- Ensure data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes are accurate and efficient.
- Oversee the data cleansing, deduplication, and enrichment process to improve data quality before migration.
- Design and implement data validation and reconciliation frameworks to ensure completeness and correctness in BAU.

Stakeholders:
Reports directly to the Programme Director.

Scope of Work and Required Experience

Key aspects of the programme's scope:
- Replacing the existing system with a next-generation PAS and surrounding components to modernise Policy Management (quoting, underwriting, policy issuance, servicing, renewals, claims). Ensuring regulatory/PCI compliance while improving agility in product and policy management.
- Driving business adoption across underwriting, operations, distribution, and customer service teams.

Experience required:
- Proven track record of successfully migrating large amounts of data while ensuring its integrity in its new home.
