Description
Responsibilities
- Focus on improving platform reliability, optimizing user experience, and streamlining integrations with third-party solutions
- Establish and promote standards and best practices by collaborating with platform and development teams
- Assist in migrations and oversee upgrades of critical systems
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to Kubernetes
- Collaborate with platform and development teams to build new features and capabilities
- Debug and troubleshoot critical technical issues
- Mentor new team members, both junior and senior
- Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes
- Work with a distributed team of experienced engineers
- Collaborate with other engineering, QA, and documentation teams to execute on product deliverables
Skills and Qualifications
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes administration and development
- Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and workflows
- Development skills in Python or Go
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Strong communication skills
- Strong experience with container orchestration and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Solid understanding of networking concepts and protocols
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform)
- Knowledge of monitoring and logging solutions for Kubernetes
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
- Certifications such as CKA (Certified Kubernetes Administrator)
- Experience with service mesh technologies (e.g., Istio)
- Familiarity with database management in containerized environments
- Scripting/automation proficiency (e.g., Bash)
- Experience with system reliability engineering (monitoring, alerting, incident response)
Additional Expectations
- Ability to work independently and swiftly address and resolve issues while aligning with broader strategic objectives
- Experience in managing complex cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipeline management
- Strong background in Cloud technologies (AWS preferred)
