Senior / Principal Environmental Consultant (Geo Environment)

Our geo environmental team provides specialist support to complex infrastructure developments and their operations. We have successfully supported our clients in delivering sustainable projects across a range of sectors including energy, industry, residential and port redevelopment.
Job Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic, optimistic, conscientious and talented person, with excellent communication skills and technical ability, who has a wide range of experience within the geo environmental sector. As well as being able to write and review detailed geo environmental assessment reports for human health and controlled waters, we are looking for a person who has also authored bespoke reports tailor made for the subject area.
This role might be right for you if you have:
- Experience and a track record in the production and technical reviewing of detailed geo environmental assessment reports including desk-based studies, general/detailed quantitative risk assessments, options appraisals, remediation strategies, specifications, verification and validation.
- Experience in authoring bespoke reports within the subject area which may be required to support a particular client/site requirement.
- An understanding of the Development Consent Order (DCO) process; production & review associated reports including BRAG assessments; scoping reports; preliminary environmental information reports; environmental statements & associated documentation (such as statements of common ground; consultation documentation & writing written responses) for ground conditions.
- Experience in mineral; waste; soil resource & hydrogeological risk assessments would also be advantageous.
- A clear understanding designing ground investigations; writing specifications & managing ground investigation contractors.
- An excellent understand regulatory/legal requirements relation contaminated land.
- Experience dealing planning process relation contaminated land.
- Excellent written/verbal communication; organisational/analytical/time management skills.
- Good people skills ability work multidisciplinary team.
